{"id":1302,"date":"2018-04-13T10:09:53","date_gmt":"2018-04-13T10:09:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/puntabegonagaleriak.eus\/?page_id=1302"},"modified":"2018-04-13T10:11:28","modified_gmt":"2018-04-13T10:11:28","slug":"e5","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/puntabegonagaleriak.eus\/en\/e5\/","title":{"rendered":"e5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/1&#8243;][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=&#8221;h1&#8243; text_size=&#8221;h1&#8243;]<strong>E.5<\/strong> CLEANING THE INK FROM GRAFFITI[\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Graffiti causes damage through the application of spray paints onto the tiles on columns and walls, due to the vandalism following the abandonment of the Punta Bego\u00f1a Galleries in recent years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In order to remove these materials and restore the tiles and return them to their original state, we have conducted a thorough process of analysis and testing, which has involved the following stages: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 1: inspection of the area to be treated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 2: start of work by applying a specific paint stripper for removing the inks from graffiti. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 3: gentle rubbing to blend the stripper into the ink and remove it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 4: removal of the stripper gel and the inks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Stage 5: finish by applying pure acetone to fully remove all the inks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space empty_h=&#8221;1&#8243;][vc_single_image media=&#8221;765&#8243; media_width_percent=&#8221;100&#8243;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;caption&#8221;]Process of cleaning inks from the graffiti: stage 1 inspecting the area to be treated in the north-west gallery (left) and stage 2 application of the chosen paint stripper (right), 2017.
